★ It Begins ★

First post! Theres so much I could talk about... But I think I'll start with a general life update. Life has been a whirlwind of events- and it feels like a neck breaking pace. Its hard to keep up with everything mentally sometimes...

First off- in the beginning of the year, my wife and I moved back to Virginia from New York. At first, I was excited to move back close to my friends and family, but I had totally forgot all the cons of being in VA. Mainly the taxes, the expensive healthcare, and the racists. But it is what it is i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We had moved into my childhood home. It had been abandoned for about 5 years, and was being used as a storage unit mostly. Generations of mice had moved in, and eventually perished when food had ran out in the house. It was a pain in the ass to clean, as I was solely left to clean it myself mostly, with scarce help. My wife had mentally checked out and was finally coming to terms with what had occured in our time in NY. Shortly after regaining her sanity, her health took a decline and continued to be incapacitated.

All this belly aching over the state of the house and work isnt to say I wasnt grateful I was able to move in, though. My dad owns the house and is working with me to allow me to live there.

Being able to pay him as I had intended has been pathetically difficult... Although I'm able to take the power bill off his back, I havent been able to pay rent. Maddy has been in and out of the hospital, and medical bills are piling up. Fucking VA property taxes is squeezing me dry. I lowkey just want to sell my car and be done with it.

And on top of all that, Mom's been diagnosed with AML. A type of blood Leukemia. Shes in high spirits and is currently doing well. They want her to do a clinical trial, and she agreed. Her status is "good". Things are looking hopeful, but its been a terrifying week for my family. When the doctor broke the news, Mom didnt even cry. But I could tell she was scared. But I'm certain she'll recover, because shes the strongest person I know.
